Gas

I LOVE this gas price!

What I paid for gas today in my little Colorado suburb.

I never thought I would be saying I love any gas price over $2 per gallon. When we moved here to Colorado just over 6 years ago gas prices were around $1.30 per gallon. Now there are places that are over $4.00 per gallon. I guess that is what they are in Estes Park, CO (a touristy and fun place not too far from here).

We have been planning a road trip to Nauvoo and surrounding areas for our family vacation this summer. Do I dare hope for gas prices to go back down to below $3 per gallon? I keep wondering if $4-$5 per gallon gas prices will ever go away (once they get there). I know in Europe and other places around the world that is what they've been for years. We've had it "cheap" here in the US.

I'm trying to limit my trips in an effort to conserve on gas. I'm trying to plan better with a more comprehensive list when I go to the store and trying to carpool with other Mom's when my kid's go to activities. But really our society is a "driving" society. I hope the gas prices get under control soon!! In the meantime, I'll be grateful for the $3.35 per gallon that I paid for gas this morning - and that was at the closest station to my house. But, it just opened a couple of weeks ago. I'm sure the price there will be sky high before too long as well!

I'm trying to remember what it was here earlier today, I think it was $3.68? Is that place really called the Kum and Go? Nice spelling!

Yeah, that's what it's called! I try not to think of it in that way!!

We are moving this summer. Can you imagine what we are going to pay in gas for the Penske truck? I dont think I will even add it all up, it just might be too painful.

Amazingly enough we are still a tad under $4...I think that the last station I saw was $3.85...yuck!!!

We are the same as Jen 3.85 or so. Crazy. Hopefully they figure out something soon.

Yeah, tell me about it. Here in Germany it is about equivalent (exchange rate and liter conversion) to about $6.50/gal and rising. Makes me SICK. And the church is 30 minutes away and another back--I am trying to find ways to conserve too but the prices won't be going down, I am sorry to say, only up!

I remember in High School a little over 10 years now I had a Accord and I would pay $10 and the tank would go from empty to full, OH how I wish it was like that now.

Oh you are so lucky. I just paid 3.88 at Costco yesterday and unfortunately I drive a big honkin gas guzzler!

I can't believe it's that cheap out there! Just today I filled up at Costco for a gastly price.

The sad thing is I have been driving more than normal lately and we're definitely feeling those prices!

Lars took both our cars in that day to get filled up. It only took him 1 1/2 hours to get through the lines! I love your blog!
