Officially on the Market

For Sale

Yesterday the Realtor came over and put up the sign in our yard. The photographer also came over and took pictures of our home. I'm so sad to sell it. It has been such a great place to call home for the past (almost) 2 years! And we, most especially Laren, have put in A LOT of work to make this place what it is.

But I just keep reminding myself it is a "moth and rust corruptible". It is just a thing, what I love about it more than anything else is that my favorite people in the world reside here and that's what makes it what it really is!

I just took a virtual tour of your house and IT'S BEAUTIFUL!!! You are an amazing decorator. I saw the family pictures you have up in your living room and they look great! Your kitchen is awesome and your backyard is amazing. You are so talented! I want to warn you since we moved from our house in Reunion I still miss it. I feel like our house here isn't the same. Your right about the people, you won't find better friends then in Colorado. Enjoy the time there while you have it.

It is beautiful. I hope it sells ast for you guys. We are in the same boat. :) We can commiserate together. How long are houses taking to sell in CO these days?

Linda - our realtor told us houses are taking 90-100 days on the market to sell right now. That puts at about Christmas, if we're lucky!! I'll have to email you and we can commiserate together!

Darcy, Laren got a job in Utah (a really good one) and so as much as we love it here - we're going to have to go, because we love him more than we love Colorado! :)

Naomi and Maegan are going to be so sad ... but I understand and I am very happy for your family and Laren's job situation. I hope your house sells quickly and I will keep the word out for you!

Oh, I know how sad you will be to leave it. I hope (in this bad housing market) that all the hard work paid off and it sells quickly so you can join Laren and get your life started there.

I've been reading your blog for a while now but don't think I've ever commented. I didn't realize that we lived so close. I live in Reunion which is technically Commerce City. But, I shop in Brighton all the time at the Prairie Center. We just moved here and love it here! We, too, moved for a job and I had to stay behind to wait for a house to sell. Good luck with your husband's new job!! Your house is beautiful! My hope for you and your family is that it sells quickly so you can be together!! Good luck!

Kari-I promise it will sell. For some reason Laren got the job here in Utah and when the time is right it will happen. Ours sold in 8 weeks. Good luck it is a pain having a house on the market is hard with kids and keeping the house clean.

Okay Diane, I'm going to hold you to that promise! :) Thanks for the words of assurance - they were much needed as I'm stressing so much about this!!
