Sidney (in blue) with my daughters Kayla and Rilyn behind.
Sidney with Rilyn, Kayla, Tyler and Kyle at our house last year.
Kayla and Sidney were in the same class at school last year and this year, though they didn't have the same home room teacher they still saw each other 6 days a week between school and Church. They have been in Beehives together. Sidney's Mom is the Young Women's President.
Sidney is the oldest of 3 and was so talented and artistic. She won many awards at the school 6th grade Continuation Ceremony on Wednesday. Her Dad was there videotaping it, and I'm sure that video will be a treasure. Also, the girls had their first trip to the temple for Baptisms for the Dead about 3 weeks ago. Sidney's Dad got to be there and baptize her and her Mom was able to be there as well.
It's just so sad! Sidney was vivacious and full of life!! She was so wonderful!! My daughter has been taking this pretty hard, at first she was in denial. But slowly she is realizing it is true. We will miss Sidney and feel great sadness for her wonderful family. I couldn't imagine anything much worse than what they are going through right now.

Oh Kari, How tragic! I am so sorry. It really reminds us all how fragile life can be.
How sad! I remember having a neighbor boy die when I was about Kayla's age. It changed my way of thinking forever...but I wasn't even great friends with him the way Kayla is with Sidney. I'm sending hugs your way.
HOLY CRAP - small world! Her mom Cassie was my roommate my freshman year and I am actually going over to her half-sister's today for a BBQ today. I have felt soooo horribly about her loss since we found out about it at church yesterday!
I don't even know what to say... My heart aches for her family and for all those who know and love her.
Oh, I am so sorry. This has to be so hard. I just can't even imagine. Hugs to you, and your daughter.
I am really sorry to hear such bad news. That interstate is so scary, there are so many people that get in wrecks. Travis and I are glad that we don't have to travel it anymore, especially during the winter months.
She was a beautiful girl and had a wonderful spirit, she will be missed much in the ward!

That is just terrible Kari. My heart goes out to their family. And how crazy about those tornados. You have had some traumatic news lately. Here is to a calm happy weekend :)
