The Good, The Bad

The GOOD
THE Bad
and the
UGLY!
GOOD:
Safe trip
Fun Women's Conference was great, lots of good classes!
Getting to visit my Alma Matter, BYU
Hanging out with my Sister
No kids to deal with for a weekend
Going to Temple Square
Great Food at Cannon Center Cafeteria, Luau Dinner at WC, The Garden Restaurant on the roof of JS Memorial building and the Lion House restaurant.
Meeting Kristine, a fellow blogger.
Getting an Apostolic Blessing from Elder Holland on Friday
Getting good exercise by walking TONS the past 5 days!
Getting a great blessing of health from a stranger at the Conf. Center this morning.

BAD:
The weather, rain, wind and snow are not my idea of good weather in May!

Our hotel in SLC was kind of old and not too great.

I got sick with kidney stones while at Music and the Spoken Word this morning.
It hit me as soon as I sat in my seat in the Conference Center.

I spent the next 4 hours writhing in pain, pacing the floors, going pee, and laying in a bed in the medical room at the Conf. Center.

UGLY:
A delayed flight home.
Did I mention wind and rain AND snow?

When the weather in SLC turned nice again, we were at the airport to head home and we came home to the same nasty weather we experienced in SLC!

I ate too many calories and I dread stepping on the scale this week.

I came home to a lot of fires to be put out by Monday (tomorrow morning),like projects that need to be done for school, paperwork for fieldtrips, a Dr. appt. for my daughter in the morning, etc..

Laren is going to be out of town for a couple of days for work, my oldest Sister is coming for a visit at the end of this week, my kids have a TON of games/activities going on this week.

I will likely be scarce around here this week as I try to play catch up with this thing called life!
**Post Script**
I took a ton of pictures; I hope to post some of those on here in the next couple of days.

Coming home is alawys so hard. You'd think the time away would refresh, but sometimes that first day back is a killer.

Sorry about getting sick. People say kidney stones are worse than labor. I've watched my husband go through them and I say give me a 10 pound baby any day!

Good luck getting back on track. But glad you had a good time.

Kari, I am so sorry you had kidney stones there. And I agree that it is always hard to come back to make up for lost time doing house/family things. But glad you had such a great conference and time with your sister. HOpe the weather improves and you can get everything ready for your sister visiting.

So sorry you got sick. I've heard kidney stones are terrible.

I want to go to women's conference next year. I actually looked for flights the day before but they were a bit pricey and I had no sitter for my kids.

I hope your week is nice to you. You deserve it.

Hang in there. Your day sounds like mine. Here's to a brighter Tuesday! Snow? Seriously? Yuck.

It was wonderful meeting you!
The weather certainly was a mess...not what I expected at all, but it was a great experience for me all the way around.
Had you been to WC before?
I'm so sorry to hear about all of your pain...I hope you are doing better now.
I am more tired today than yesterday...and so glad to be home...I missed my family!

I am so sorry you were ill. Why does that always happen when we are taking time for ourselves? Hope you are feeling better.

I'm sure everything will get caught up. Just take care of yourself. Loved the pictures!
