Bolder Boulder

My daughter Kayla wanted to join the school's running club. They would run every week, several times from March through the end of May. The end of the club would culminate in running the Bolder Boulder a popular 10k race here in Colorado. Well, Laren and I did not want her to participate without one of us being there also because the race draws in crowds of people from all over the United States.

So after discussing it, we decided that I would run the race with Kayla. Hence my start to running this past week. Let's hope I can keep it up!! Running does not come easy to me. But I have to say, it's fun to do with my daughter and we have some great chats while we run together!

That is so awesome. I think running can really bond people. It has with me. Some of my running buddies have remained dear friends and it is even better if that is a family member!

I would love to run in that some day. Many friends have ran in that one before. I runner friend of mine said there is a half marathon in Denver in October. I hope to try and run in that one. We will see what the doctor says next week.

Thank you sooooo much for the fun good mail! It came at the perfect time. We just got home last night from a week away and have so much to do. The chocolate was needed! :)

This race is a blast and a great way to spend Memorial Day. We've gone the last seven years in a row and I've run in four of them. There is lots of entertainment along the way and there are always so many people around you that you just keep going. Good luck with the training. Unfortunately, this year only Jay will go but we'll be there in spirit!

Oh...and Seth did it last year and he did great. Kids love it.
