Date with my Boys

Yesterday I had a fun date with my boys. I had talked to them about it a day ahead of time and told them they could choose where we go and what we do for the special time with Mom.

Tyler didn't have a preference, although he did keep mentioning sledding. He kept saying, "Not go home, okay Mom?" Referring to when we went sledding last week and we came home sooner than he wanted!

Kyle picked to go have lunch, including ice cream, at McDonald's and then to come home and play Wii Sports together. Tyler obliged. So that is what we did. It was lots of fun. The boys got Bionicles in their Happy Meals, which was satisfying to them! Kyle kicked my hiney at Wii Sports.

When I did the Wii fitness, I think it said my age was 60 the first time and 64 or something like that when I did it yesterday. The only sport I'm even good at, remotely, is bowling.

My kids love Tennis the best!! Kyle is the best at Baseball. Even though I'm no good at it, I like the tennis and the baseball. I'm sore today from playing the Wii yesterday! I almost talked myself out of the elliptical this morning because of it, then I remembered all the junk I've been eating and exercised despite my sore muscles.

Kyle and Tyler eating lunch yesterday at McDonalds. Bad pic with my cell phone, but at least it's a picture! I wanted to try for another one where they actually look like they were having fun and one with better lighting, but I opted to just enjoy the experience instead of fussing with all that instead!

Tyler took his nap while Kyle and I played Wii sports, because Tyler is too young to do the Wii just yet! He likes to pretend he's playing though, which is really cute!

I sure love my kids and having them home from school is sure a nice treat for me! I'm kind of dreading sending them back to school next week!

Sounds like a fun day! Although I must say you're kind of crazy for not enjoying school in session! LOL! Actually I miss my kids when they're in school - and want them in school when they're home - I have to find a happy medium!!

What a good mom you are!!! We just never do things like this (one on one, or two on two, but all three regularly), and we NEED to!!!
