It doesn't slow down...

Life just doesn't slow down! Basketball is in full swing for 2 of my kids, 2 of my kids are in piano and 2 of my kids are in activity days. Today I spent all morning at the school helping out.

I need to get dinner on, "Bless my heart" aka- exercise, and do a little cleaning. Sometimes, okay a lot of times, I wish the cleaning would just go away for a few days. But, alas, it never does!! The homework is another of those never-ending chores.

But to make my chores a little funner, I have a great book on cd that I'm listening to. For me, I'd rather listen to a talk or talk radio or a book than music. Does that make me weird or just unusual? I do like to listen to music but I also like to be entertained and motivated!! :)

I have to tackle small jobs each day, because big ones overwhelm me. The cleaning really is nonstop. Ugh! I hear ya.

You're not weird for liking books on CD; my dh loves them, too, and motivational talks, too. They drive me crazy though, like someone who just keeps talking and talking and won't stop, stressing me out with background noise, until I want to scream, "SHUT UP!!!!" So music is definitely better for me, lol.

I get the most done listening to Clark Howard online or his podcasts.

I hate to say it, but I'm actually relieved that my Kyle can't play baseball this spring (due to a strained hamstring) because it'll make life soooo much easier.

I've also learned to say no to things that I don't love... and to prioritize my commitments. I go to the Y every morning, and won't commit to anything else in the morning, unless it's a one-time event like a field trip, etc.

When I am cleaning I usally have a talk show on. Not talk shows like Montel hee hee...AZ morning talk shows. I don't sit, and watch them, just listen. They always have new ideas, recipes, etc I too, wish cleaning would go away for a few days...or maybe longer! :)

I wish I was disciplined like that I normally have to jam to some tunes to keep me going!
