Some snacky sort of foods I like

As kind of a followup to yesterdays weight loss post, I thought I would add a few of the things I like to snack on. Although, I try not to be a big snacker. I keep my body eating on a schedule. So, my body gets hungry at a certain time, like dinner is between 5-6 pm. My body expects that and so when dinner time comes, I am hungry!! Although, I do occassionally snack, more on some days than other days. When I first started my weight loss program, I did not snack.


My favorite of these is the cheddar cheese or the Ranch.


My favorite is the kettle corn, of these mini bags of popcorn.


My favorite of these is the carrot cake, because I LOVE carrot cake!

Also, I'm a big time fruit person. Apples and grapes and oranges are my favorites. Before I started my weight loss journey, bananas were my favorite fruit. Now I hardly ever eat them. So it is interesting the way my food choices and cravings have changed.

The reason I try to limit my snacking is because it's easy to get out of control with the snacking and it stretches my stomach and so then everyday my body would think it needs a snack. Then each day, it seems, I would want more of snack and even more the next day until eventually it is out of control.

And, I did not mean to imply that I never eat bread. I do. But I eat it maybe 3 times a week. Whereas before it would be every single day, several times a day. When I do eat it, it is 95% of the time whole wheat. I love whole wheat bread and since it is healthier that makes it all the more better!!

If it was something I really like that isn't too healthy, like chips, I wouldn't deprive myself. I would give myself an allowance for it every couple weeks or so. And then I would eat it in those 100 calorie snack size bags to keep my portion size in check.

I'm impressed you are still so diligent with your snacking. That is one thing I do too much. Good for you!
