Alyssa's Birthday and Bedroom

Alyssa's Birthday Cake

Alyssa with her cake!

Alyssa blowing out her candles

Us getting ready for cake:

In the middle of the project...

And here is her room, wall by wall. Those little storage crates on the dresser will be put on a shelf up above the dresser once I get it painted and assembled.

We still have to caulk the seams in the wainscoating. And I have the one curtain down temporarily to fix one of the tabs on it.

This antique dresser will also go in her room. We started refinishing it and then moved. So hopefully we will get it refinished and painted white and in there! The previous owners spray painted it - ick!! But, we scored a great deal and got it for $15 at a yard sale!

Oh, this room has really come together even though it's still a work in progress! It has been a lot of fun and a lot of work. I sewed the curtains and the little pillow on the chair in the picture. It was a lot of work to do it without a pattern. Next time I think I'm breaking down and buying a pattern!!

Alyssa's favorite part of the room is the chair in the corner!! Yeah, that's a 9 year old for ya!! But she said she LOVES her room!!

Great job on Alyssa's room! Should a 9 yr old even have such a cute room? I'm jealous, lol. It's beautiful!
